How do I place an order?

Call the Billy’s location nearest you to place an order with one of our friendly, knowledgeable staff members. For delivery orders, please call our Tribeca store at 212.647.9958. All orders must be paid in full in order to be processed.

How far in advance should I place my order?

We request at least 48 hours' notice for orders. If you need a cake within a 24-hour window, we may be able to accommodate you with one of our in-stock, house cakes. For large cupcake orders (more than 100), two to three days' notice is preferred, but we will always do our best to accommodate your needs. Custom orders are not available on specific blackout days - November 25, December 27 and January 2 - due to prior-day store closure. Please place your delivery or pickup order for the day following these blackout dates.

What is your cancellation policy?

Orders canceled with 7 or more days notice are refunded in-full via the original method of payment. Orders canceled with 48 hours notice will receive a 50% refund via the original method of payment. Orders canceled with less than 48 hour notice will receive 50% of the order value in the form of a store credit. This store credit must be redeemed within 90 days.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we delivery throughout Manhattan! Delivery charges range from $10-$30, depending on location and available time-slots. For deliveries outside of Manhattan, please call for a quote. Please call our Tribeca store at 212.647.9958 to place delivery orders.

What sort of decorations can I get on my cake?

Our cake decorators can create several common designs: polka dots, flowers, and stripes are our standard choices. If you’d like something specific, call the bakery—we may ask you to provide us with a picture of what you’d like to help make sure we create a cake that will meet your expectations. Unfortunately, we don’t do photo cakes or color matching.

Will my cake look exactly like the one in the picture on your website?

Since all of our cake are frosted and decorated by hand, each one is an individual creation and may not appear exactly as it does in our example photos.

Can I create my own cake that’s not currently on your menu?

Billy’s Bakery offers signature Billy’s baked goods, which are listed on our menu. If you have a specific request, please call the bakery.

Do you have a minimum requirement for cupcake orders?

If you’d like to order certain specialty cupcakes (Coconut, German Chocolate, Red Velvet with Whipped Vanilla Icing), we require a one-dozen minimum. For all other cupcakes, we have no minimum. At least two dozen cupcakes are generally available on a walk-in basis without an order, but if you’d like to guarantee a specific kind of cupcake or frosting color, of if you plan on stopping in during one of our busiest times (weekends, particularly weekend evenings), it is always best to place an order.

Do you make wedding cakes?

We do not make traditional tiered wedding cakes, but our cakes have been used for weddings; our staff would be happy to assist you in selecting a wedding-appropriate cake design for your special day. For couples looking for a whimsical alternative to the traditional cake, our cupcakes can be displayed in a decorative cupcake tier (available for rent for $25/day).
